Guide · Websites That Work
What makes a small-business website easy to find?
Search engines and AI tools need to be able to read it, and customers need to find what they came for quickly. That means clear pages, correct business facts, a fast load on phones and an obvious way to get in touch.
What we check on every site we build
- Every page has a clear title and description that say what it's about.
- Your business name, phone, area and hours are the same everywhere they appear.
- Structured data that matches what the page says.
- Search engines and AI tools are allowed to read the site.
- It loads quickly on a phone and works for everyone, including people using screen readers.
- A short enquiry form and your phone number are easy to find.
Questions
Do I need special files or tricks for AI search?
No. Google says its AI features draw on the same index as Search, so the basics matter most: pages that can be crawled, read and understood.
Does structured data get me into AI answers?
Not on its own. It helps search engines and AI tools read your facts correctly, so we add it, but it isn't a shortcut to being mentioned.
Why does speed on a phone matter?
Many customers find a local business on their phone. A page that loads quickly keeps them; a slow one sends them back to the search results.
Can you improve the site I already have?
Yes. We can build a new site or improve the one you have. We look at it first and tell you on the intro call.
Will my site show up on Google and in AI answers?
We build it so search engines and AI tools can read it. Search placement and AI recommendations aren't guaranteed.
