We tested on-device models (Kokoro for speech, Whisper for transcription), free cloud voices, and paid realtime engines from xAI, OpenAI, Google and ElevenLabs. Every engine went through live, hands-on conversations while we logged each failure: stalled responses, dropped replies, mid-sentence cut-offs. Lower-cost options had real limits. We chose the one that proved the most reliable and the most human, with the data to back it up. It powers our own receptionist today.

Our own test bench has run 15 AI models and agents head-to-head and records every try. Scored tests use rules written in advance, checked by independent AI judges or by measurement, and every result is kept, so new releases can be held to the same bar. Tests range from one-shot visual builds to real jobs like improving a live website, and nearly every try is recorded on video. It's a big part of how we choose which models we keep using.

We don't just run AI models side by side. We've wired them into one system. A voice assistant on OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra hands the work to Claude Code on Opus 5.5, our chief engineer. Claude Code and Codex on GPT-6.1 Sol decide who builds what, and on which model, with Grokbot taking the routine work. For big jobs, the system calls in a genius panel on its own: Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra peer-review the plan before anything is built. When a stronger model ships, it takes the seat. That's what working in AI every day means.

Before launch, every AI receptionist we deploy is tested against more than 40 real-world attack scenarios, the exploits and threats now used to manipulate conversational AI: unauthorized discounts and commitments, extraction of confidential information, impersonation of the business owner, and instructions concealed within ordinary messages. Vulnerabilities are closed before your first customer calls. Testing continues every month as the threat landscape evolves, and our scenario library grows with it.

Yes. Stella introduces herself as a virtual assistant, and on our site a short notice tells you she's an AI before every conversation. We build yours the same way.

What languages can it speak?

English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and more, and it detects the caller's language. Stella answers in 19 languages and picks up the caller's language on her own.

Can you host it, or can we run it ourselves?

Either. We can host it for you, or hand it over for you to run.
